ELPROF is the traditional and one of the most important
Romanian manufactures of electronic equipment.
It has emerged from Electronica Industriala breaking in
early May 1991. Electronica Industriala was established a long time ago, down to
1936, as a Philips subsidiary which mainly produced radio receivers under
Philips license.
Over the years following after 1948, this company gave birth to a long series of
other specialised companies spread all over the Romanian teritory: IPRS Baneasa,
IPEE Curtea de Arges, Tehnoton Iasi, Electronica Bucuresti.
